Fall Freshen Up

It’s been a while since we blogged about skin care. Although not many of our staff favorites have changed since February, there are a couple of products that have been tried and LOVED by our staff recently!

First is the Obagi-C Rx System. It comes in Normal to Dry and Normal to Oily kits. It is ALL INCLUSIVE: cleanser, serum, day cream, night cream, and sunscreen! How great is that?! For around $300 you have at least 4-5 months worth of product! This is a great way to lighten and brighten to transition from dull summertime skin to fresh radiance. It is ideal for patients who have minimal lines and wrinkles and want to maintain young-looking skin. Ask Amber, Lynn, or Elise for more info…they are all current users!

Product #2 is Lumiere Bio-restorative Eyecream from Neocutis. It retails for about $80, and packs a huge punch to the undereyes with gentle grace. It features PSP- their blend of human growth factors- and hyaluronic acid to smooth and soften lines and wrinkles, and caffeine to de-puff. Basically, it just feels amazing.

Velashape- The Male Perspective Follow-Up

“I have finished with 6 weeks of Velashape treatments, and what a great journey. The environment, the staff, and the treatment itself was first rate. I truly enjoyed the experience and look forward to exploring other procedures in the future. Now that I’ve lost 5 cm from my waist line, I will continue my regular exercise program along with good nutrition in order to maintain this fantastic jump start to the PERFECT ABS!”

Velashape-The Male Perspective Follow-Up

L.W. met up with us after his 6th treatment with the Velashape. Here are his words. “Overall, I’m very happy with the results of the Velashape. Especially, considering the fact that I started it in the middle of the holidays when I’m not eating and exercising like I normally do. I was only working out a couple of days a week between Thanksgiving and New Years. I know I was eating a lot more food than normal and I still lost 3 cm from my waist. The last week, I got back to my normal workout and eating routine and I can tell that there is definitely going to be a difference long term. I would be very interested to see what the results of Velashape would be if I continued with the treatments for a year. The results have inspired me to begin my P90X program.”

New Year’s “Lovin’ the Skin we’re In” Resolution

It’s the beginning of 2011, and we all know the new year brings resolutions. One of the resolutions we’ve made is to take care of the skin we’re in. So, we took a survey of skin care products favored by our staff. These are products that we love and use ourselves.

Sonya: LOVES LOVES LOVES Youth by ISClinical. She says ” I love the way it makes my face feel everyday.”

Carlene: loves the ISCLinical cleanser, but REALLY loves it on her Clarisonic Brush. She says “it makes her skin feel rejuvenated always.”

Melissa: uses the Intellishade by Revision Skincare because she doesn’t have to spend money on foundation and her beautiful face is protected from the sun’s wicked rays. Intellishade (spf 45) is economical, too.

Elise: “Skin Strengthening Complex by NIA24″ It “makes my skin feel so healthy, smooth, and clear.”

Nancy: loves Active Serum by ISClinical. She “likes the way it makes my face feel, and has the most dramatic results as far as correcting sun damage over any other product that I have used.”

Tasha: Using the Obagi Enhance system. She “sees better texture, my skin is refreshed, and I LOVE the results.”

Betsy: “I LOVE LOVE LOVE BIO-CREAM by Neocutis. I use it on all of my laser patients, including myself! BIO-CREAM actually absorbs into the skin and makes everything feel so much softer.”

Lynn: “I use the Jan Marini Antioxidant Daily Face Protectant (spf 30). I’m really oily in the T-zone, and have noticed a huge difference.”

Amber: ISClinical cleanser “doesn’t dry me out, but still has glycolic acid.”

Half the staff loves ISClinical cleanser and half love the Brightening Facewash by Revision.
