Can I Pick and Choose What’s Part of My Mommy Makeover?

Sometimes, it’s hard for moms to get back into the shape they were in before they had kids—even with diet and exercise. Each woman is unique, and when they have kids, their bodies change in different ways. Mommy Makeovers were developed as a series of surgical procedures that fix any areas that a mom wants to rejuvenate.

The best kinds of surgeons understand that every procedure has to work with a patient’s unique profile, and that every procedure has to be customizable to each patient. That’s why the Mommy Makeover allows each mom to customize her cosmetic procedure to target any areas she desires.

Breast Augmentation

Pregnancy and breast feeding can cause a decrease or increase in breast volume, or a change in the shape of already augmented chests. Breast augmentation can increase volume through implants, decrease breast size, or fix implants that have changed in appearance.

Breast Lift

Most women get breast lifts because they’re unhappy with the shape of their breasts; breast lifts can tighten breast skin and tissue to result in perkier breasts. They can also be done with a breast implant to improve volume of the breast.

Tummy Tuck

When you’re pregnant, your abdomen’s muscles separate and stretch. After pregnancy, women are left with loose skin, a protruding abdomen, and extra fat. Tummy tucks essentially fix flabby stomachs by removing extra skin and fat below the belly button and then tightening skin and muscles. A mini tummy tuck is a less drastic variation of the tummy tuck, and would be used for a woman who is in relatively good shape and has most of her flabby stomach below the belly button. A tummy tuck or mini tuck may also help remove stretch marks that are caused by pregnancy.

Liposuction

Liposuction is essentially used to help further contour body parts like the hips and thighs. Liposuction uses a small tube called a cannula to suction stubborn fat away.

Labiaplasty

During the later stages of pregnancy, it is not uncommon for the pelvis to become congested and to cause swelling of the labia. After the pregnancy, some women find that the labia minora now hang outside the labia majora and cause discomfort. A labiaplasty “trims” or reduces the size of the inner labia to enhance comfort and appearance.

Each of the different procedures for the Mommy Makeover can be done at the same time or separately. Either way, it’s a comprehensive procedure that addresses all the issues that having a child can have on your body.
